Newbie question- looking to replace the round wounds that have green silks. I've either heard in videos or read here that AC sells their own branded strings but no luck after a quick search online. Are they made or distributed by another manufacturer? Specs? Thanks!

I know there is a collaboration with Benevale pedals. There are 4 or 5 on their website with A/C logos on them.
I have a set of AC flat wounds. Made by labella. As for round wounds, I have had a few sets and was under the impression they were made in house
Ooh you specify what type of pickup wire? I love how particular you are about all the details of your instrument. Man I can't wait to hear you do a few videos with that bass.
Hi All. I recently picked up an oct 2007 LG5. We know from Jimmy it's nitro, but his records don't say what the fingerboard is. It not written in the pocket or neck. Jimmy thinks from memory jimmywood or old growth Honduran rw. It sounds clear accross the whole range with a little top end sparkle, very much like the DN boards I've had in past. More towards ebony, not like Indian rosewood.
A cool tidbit, this was Jack Daley's (Lenny Kravitz, joss stone, Beyonce, etc) old bass. I reached out to Jack and he was cool to respond and told me he used it on Beyoncé's "4" album released in 2011. He mentioned it can really be heard on the track, End of Time. He said the bass was stellar and should have never sold it. Love basses with a cool story!
You can hear that nice love B even in the mix.
Anyway, I agree, this is one of the best basses I've played. Best AC I've played, especially the low b and this clear and sweet sparkle top end it has. Almost ebony like, but with mid richness.

Anyone know what size of phillips is used for the truss rod? Looking at a right-angle screw driver to adjust the neck.
Contrary to most people's preferences (I think) and to Jimmy's credit as a builder who can deliver a bass that can take that type of low action you can operate with by breathing on it, I like a wee-bit more cap'n.
Realized that was the only thing bugging me about this bass, and I didn't want to touch the saddles just yet, because the previous owner got it dialed in so perfectly. I tend to go to the neck once I have the bridge saddles dialed in.
All in all, this one's staying in my grubby paws, unless an ash/maple Spank Stick shows up, looking all good in a thong and roller-blades.

That's defintiely a fun night for both me and the gangs in the shop, pick up the new bass the day before NAMM and set it up right at the shop. Mitch and I ordered the similar bass and got the same feista red idea back in a year ago and here it is.
Mine is a LG5 TB Classic Supreme Ltd.. Prof's Feista Red and DN board.
All three is just amazing sounding instrument and it is magical to see How Mitch one is done and sounds. Jimmy basically putting it together during the time when we were at the shop because of the tight schedule. We all hear the first note from the bass... JUST WOW!!!! This is how it is.
Can't wait to bring this new red home and road test it in the coming sessions and shows.
