I remember that bass from the Talkbass' classifieds.
Almost every built from Jimmy of that era were at his NAMM booth.
He should have more of his instruments sprayed in Burgundy Mist (like Guy Pratt vintage Fender Jazz Bass with the pickups upgrade).
I recall seeing a very lovely KBP4 in that finish a long while ago.
Gold hardware, mainly from his late 2000 NYC with exotic tops.

Joey owner and service tech at Audiomanie. But I first met him as a luthier at Harmonie Lab in the 1980's. He's a great vintage Fender tech and can do incredible detailed woodwork and repairs if needed.
Something has me puzzled. I've had my LG5 for sale in tne classifieds for quite a while now. I've seen several others posted and sold for way more money than I am asking. It's a killer bass, but I've only had a couple of offers while respectable, still would be a big loss for me after seller fees and insured shipping. The amount of crazy low ball offered astounds me. Tons of looks but almost no interest. Any ideas why this might be??? For Sale - Alleva Coppolo LG5 (price drop)
Sorry to hear about your health problems. I've had my fair share of them which forced me to liquidate my bass collection at one time. One single Lg5 is what I've kept after everything settled.
Classifieds here have evolved a ton over the years. Things I've observed:
-You need clearer photos. Pay attention to the background. Make it simple and keep it the same in every photo. Try to get clearer shots of the bass itself in those photos. You can do it all on a phone if you put the effort in but paying someone from Craigslist to do it with an sLR for $50-250 will pay for itself here.
-Your description is too verbose
-It's a poly finish, checking is fine. Scale back the in depth nit picking, tag it as very good condition and call it a day
- confirm the fingerboard wood. It's important
- AC's have a cult following. People tend to learn which ones sound good and folks are anxiously waiting for the ones they want to surface for sale. Some get lost in the mix and/or never get the attention they deserve. Maybe a sound sample would help?
-I know reverb just raised their fees, but I have had much better luck selling there this past year.
-Tire kickers abound these days on tb classifieds. Just part of it

Yep - I agree that maybe just good quality pictures with a constant solid background may sell it. It looks nicotine yellow in some pics and white in others. List an exact weight and specs and you should be set. If you have any good quality audio samples ad those. I wish you luck with everything!

Outside in the sun did give it a bit of yellow tint which it does not have although the neck has vintage tint. It is not poly, it is nitro! This has only had two owners the original and myself, so it hasn't made the rounds much. I took off the neck and the board is not listed in Jimmy's hand written specs. Don't t really have any way to record it and to be honest I never have purchase an instrument based on that. Put any bass in ten different people's hands and it will sound much different. I have some gig samples but the quality is nothing that would influence a decision. I understand what you are saying about nit picking, but as you can see by my feedback profile, I want no surprises to the buyer who lays out money for anything. Nine times out of ten, buyers usually get back to me and say the item was in much better shape than I described or than they expected. Maybe a fault that isn't in my favor, but I'd rather it be that way.

As a professional photographer I agree it needs better shots, just a neutral colored wall for all the " poses " with a consistent white balance on the camera will help immensely, also contact Jimmy to nail down what exactly the fingerboard material is and what year it is, I assume it has a serial #, I'm an Fbass player myself but if I was going to lay down 4 grand for a used AC I would want to know those things especially since I'm buying sight unseen .
Email Jimmy with the SN to get an answer on that fingerboard.

Of course, the nicer the pictures... well, that can't hurt.
Still, LG5 are the most sought after model and having a matching headstock and body/neck with nitrocellulose finish is a big plus.
The price is right and you're not located on the other side of the planet so why is it not moving?

The original owner of my LG serial number B5 0355C looked up his original order. The bass was delivered in 2012 and the board was unspecified rosewood. Since there is no contact info for Jimmy listed on the website, I reached out through FB messenger, but not sure how often he checks that.
Thanks for the address! Believe it or not, that description doesn't work. Almost everyone who has inquired about the bass asks what type of rosewood. I specifically said I was pretty sure it was not Brazilian, but even that doesn't work for many.
