Been using AC strings for years and they don't seem around these days

know LaBella made them, anyone know which series LaBella they were?

None of the current LaBella strings series like Coppolo's unfortunately, but you can always try their RX series Nickel strings first, sound great on Jimmy's basses as well.

I'd try Hi beams SS for rosewood fingerboard or Lo Rider Nickel for maple...

I had been wondering this recently too! Loved the AC strings that came on my LG5... Had been hoping to do a bulk order... Oh well...

We recorded these songs during the long lock down we had in Italy last year: the bass is recorded straight in Studio One with a Presonus 26C
Unfortunately the sound engineer has modified the equalization of the bass tracks (my basses sound like Yamaha TRBs...)

Does anyone know the neck thickness (front to back) around the 1st fret of the KBP-4? I know the nut width is strangely not the period-correct Precision-style width of 1.75" (and is instead ~1.68"), but I am not sure anyone has listed the thickness of the KBP-4 neck. FWIW, for the various AVRI and CS Fender Precision's I've had, the neck thickness ranges from 0.790" to 0.8xx".

Here's my 2016 LG5 Classic Supreme. It's a 50th Anniversary tribute to my black '66. Jimmy delivered it to me the day after the 2017 NAMM show.

Here's my 2018 LG5, which was supposed to be poly and standard rosewood, but Jimmy got carried away and I got Professor lacquer and a beautiful piece of CNL, just like my black one. Jimmy delivered this one in late September, 2018, and he surprised me with his then-new vintage pick-ups, too.

The Porsche bass was painted by a former Fender Custom Shop cat who runs his own shop in Norco and paints for a lot of builders. Nearly all of Jimmy's poly finishes from the past two years were from this guy. He does great work.

The head is one of Jim Bergantino's B|Amp prototypes that BSD received in August, 2015. The cab is the HG312 in Vintage Bordeaux. BSD ordered it a couple months before NAMM 2020. The cab beneath the cover to the right is an HG310, also in VB. I think that one was at NAMM 2016.

You can order a KBP4 with either an A, B or C width neck. I ordered mine with an A neck. I could measure mine if that's any help. But being a jazz neck the thickness may be different.

Yeah, I'd be curious to know, even though it's a Jazz neck you have.

Venturing back into 5-string territory in 2021.This 2018 LG5 Classic Supreme is awesome, will stick with it until the right 4-string comes along.

After looking at Trey Le Parc pictures of Jimmy's 2020 builts, does anyone knows what is happening with his (high mass) proprietary vintage style bent plate bridge (with the side rails for the exterior saddle screws and with his brand name stample)?

Seems like I haven't seen that model much lately on his latest builts.

Jimmy updated my bridge and pickups in November 2020, so I assume this is the latest version. There was a delay as we had to wait for the bridge from his machinist.

Compared to the original Hipshot it doesn't look high mass. I haven't gigged this bass since the upgrades so I don't have an opinion on the bridge (or pickups) yet.

Yeah, I should have left "high mass" from my query.

To me, that model of bridge is way thicker than the previous one.

Also, I don't think that "bent style" is a good way to describe them but, what do I know.
