Club Alleva-Coppolo (Part 21)

Hello Together
Thank you very much for the explanations about the body sizes of the LG 4 and L 5 which was very helpful for me.
Thanks again I appreciate your effort.

Hello Albinokiller yes I am sorry once I sell it then you will be the first one I contact I still have your private mail address. I don't like the wider neck of the kbp (my dream size would be a 38mm but I can't afford to order one) but since it sounds amazing I'm holding off on selling it no "p" bass sounds as nice as the kbp.

For you still a picture of said bass and all the best to you all

Oooh that's a nice one.

With all the talk of 4 string AC's....
For Sale/Trade - Alleva Coppolo Classic Supreme Limited Edition 4
Price tag is $6500USD shipped to the US or within Canada for those interested.
I will ship overseas, but contact me for details.
And as always.....open to trade or cash offers.

Jimmy's 4 strings IMO definitely seem to be overlooked and underrated. I owned a classic supreme 4 with an amazing Brazilian board at one time that was absolutely incredible. Sounded and felt just as good as any vintage fender (which I'm a huge fan of). Ive also played a purple p bass at jimmys shop that was maybe (along with my 06 LG5) the best feeling bass I have ever played. I wish more of these were around!

I just bought my first Alleva. It sounds great and mostly plays nicely. The 'mostly' qualifier comes from the nut height. With the bass set up as I like (12 thou relief, 63 thou action at the 12th fret), the action at the first fret is around 40 thou. This is about twice as high as my other basses and it makes fretting from the 3rd fret on down harder than I am used to. All the strings are the same. Is this how Alleva's are set up from the factory or is it atypical?

Thanks for looking.

I'm sure that is atypical. I've played and owned Jimmy's basses from the first ones out of New York up until now and I've never experienced a nut that was cut like that. Best to contact Jimmy and he will fix it for you. Good luck. Once it plays the way you want you should be very happy.

So IME many do have higher than average nut heights, you don't hear complaints though as people may like that for various reasons (as Jimmy may also himself). For me, I prefer the strings lower to reduce string tension and effort…easy fix… I just have the slots shaved down very slightly which is nothing and in a few min it's where I like them.

Hello everybody, I'm in the process of ordering an AC (my second) and I'm having a hard time figuring what finish to go with. Would it be possible to see some pictures of people's ACs so that I can get a better sense of what the colors look like on their basses? In particular, it would be great to see some of the Fender-style colors (fiesta red, Dakota red, lake placid blue, burgundy mist etc), since that's likely what I'll be going with.

I've scoured so many threads on TB, forums, Facebook and seller sites, which has been great, but it would be really useful to have a selection all in one place. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hey man,
Congrats. Heres my blue. It's a bold color choice. If you like it, tell Jimmy Sam's blue Classic Supreme. I'm not sure what the color is called.
