That is one of the baddest hippest things (settings) that I have ever heard an AC in, and it is just killin. BOTH quality playing and recording quality (everyone had headphones on--audience too) a strong 10 for my tastes.

Got any more stuff like this man featuring the AC bass ?

The thing I love about Snarky Puppy is how well Mike leads the band. It's not something that necessarily comes naturally to bass players, but he leads like a pro. They have another album called ground up that was recorded live, and the audience is wearing headphones etc. The sound and video is superb.. Although, only a ash/maple 70's P bass.. No AC love in those clips.. But the music is more important than the bass anyways. Killer arrangements and bass solos aplenty

They have a unique setup in that there is a core group of a few guys that are always in the band and then a ton of guys that basically rotate and play when they are available and do a ton of other work in addition to the band. Over the last year or two though, Snarky has kinda blown up in that their audience is much more than just musicians. They are doing some larger venues and touring all over the world now so I'm sure they are doing pretty well for themselves at this point.

Yeah that was Cory, and he is AMAZING. Check out this solo from when he came to Detroit. Even Shaun Martin (who is IN Snarky and is a beast himself) is blown away by what he does at around 7:30 - 7:45...

ha thanks. It is Cory and I've played with him before in the Brooklyn gospel scene. Dude is the TRUTH!

Yeah thanx man, I have seen his other videos with the P bass and yes it is always about the "playa" and not the bass--but I am/was still impressed by the sheer sonic quality of how that bad boy 5 string sat in the track--and every note was discernible......cheers.

The P bass will always be Number 1 in my heart--if least, not in my hand :)

I've been spending a lot of time with my new (Ken's old) harvest gold LM5. Another amazing bass. This is the 4th LM I've had and every one of them has been phenomenal. They are the perfect blend of a legit vintage 70's Fender with modern updates.

Still on the hint for a KBP5 for the collection...

I got a call from jimmy on Friday. Thee bass that he is donating to Make A Wish Foundation for a young boy with cancer ... It should ship to me this week. Mike X and I are scheduled to present the Alleva bass in late October. I will take some pics of the bass when it gets here and post them.

Thought I post my interest here as well as in the classifieds!

I'm in the market for a 4 string P Bass and would love to pick up an Alleva Coppolo KBP. I'm keen to hear about any and every KBP4 thats available but would ideally love something with Old Growth Old Cut Braz RW (DB) and an Old Growth European Alder Body!
