I remember that one on Bass Gear's website and watching it with the curious mix of admiration and frustration that comes with the inability to afford a thing you would like. Glad you got it, LME, they had it a long time.
I do have a GREAT KBP4 Classic from the New York days, however.

I just heard from Jimmy and Peter Montessi from A-Design that the Annual Alleva Coppolo Show is on for April 5th in LA.
I have missed every one of them so far. I heard its a good hang... Jimmy is making a bass for the Annual Alleva Bass giveaway that all proceeds went to Jimmy animal health charity thing .... I would poop my pants if i won this years bass... . Mike Merit from Conans band won the A-Design REDDI Tube DI last year..

Should be real fun..
There were some great clinics last year, LA studio cats, giveaways...
Ill post more about the GTG as i hear more about it..

For Alleva Coppolo “TB” 18mm owners/pre-owners or have experienced with basses with 18mm bridge: Is it a real difference for a 19mm player to play the TB 18mm AC bass? Especially when slapping, would it take a while to adapt?

I agree with Mitch above, however I have smaller hands and so its more of an issue than it might be for many. I had been playing Jimmy's 19mm basses and then when he introduced the TB model I had felt I had to go all TB on the models I own. For me, the nut width and corresponding taper into the 18mm feels great ...for the reasons Mitch mentioned. However I do have friends with the 19mm and they might feel it too tight for them. I think ( like most of this stuff) its really personal and the only real way to tell is to try to get to one and play it.

One detail though to consider; I generally use 40-120 gauge strings, and that actually helps to not crowd the space too much . When you string it up in comparison with 45-125 (for example) the spacing between strings narrow slightly relative to the lighter gauge. So its possible for one person 18mm will be fine and for another it might be getting tight. String gauge could be a factor here too :)

I was talkin g with Jimmy about my New build LG5.. Im thinking of 18 mm too.. Ill be going to teh shop to pick ,y wood next month.. Ill be doing the Alleva Coppolo and REDDI A-Design Show.. It will be fun..

Gonna pick up my 62 P bass neck that Jimmy put a new truss rod in and my LM4 neck that he just refretted too..
