Thanks George, you guys picture shows the color of the bass much better
Thanks for the props; that's a hard color to photograph! We have multiple lights to get it to look in images how it looks IRL. Most pics of it make it look nearly black, which is just not the case!
Just setup my beloved LG5... take off the original black pickguard for some cleaning and idea on getting a clear or matt black guard is growing on me now..

Tim, I've held back these feelings for so long: I covet that bass. That sparkle black is one of the slickest colors I've ever seen on a bass! That said, I like the idea of matte black, but i still want it to be 3-ply so it has that white accent around the edge...

Hi George, I originally opted Charcoal Frost finish for my build, but then professor finished this bass in more metallic'ish / sparkle finish... which I actually like it even better :) I got some sparkle basses myself and I always love them...

Meanwhile, I sent my black guard to duplicate a clear guard, the bass is now have the white guard on which Jimmy originally cut for the bass even I spec'ed with the black guard, he said he want the full authentic 66' look when he finish the bass... You know him!

Oh yeah, Jimmy and I have talked about your bass before. It's famous with me. I was at one point thinking I wanted a Charcoal Frost finish and Jimmy told me the Professor's CFM came out with bigger flakes and I didn't have the vision to see how cool it would be. What we refer to as "Sparkle Black, like Timothy's" is one of my favorite colors since seeing it. If I can ever get a KBP5, I think that's the color it'll be!

@Not yet , how's stuff with you? Long time no see for obvious reasons, but I hope the Vino Rosso LG/LE5 is still killing it!

I like the white guard Timothy, real classic but still different/modern with the sparkle body.
