Would I be an idiot to switch from the 3 Tone Sunburst/Rosewood/Tort/Nitro finish LG5 I have on order to an LG5: Oly White/Tort/Matching headstock/Rosewood/Dots and 66 transition period FB binding? I already have a Nordy in Oly White/Tort/Rosewood/pearl blocks/matching headstock on the way. The thing is, if I find that I love the AC LG5 that much more, I'll be playing it a lot and I love that color combo.

Everytime I see those Oly White/Tort/Rosewood basses, I get weepy. But the 3 Tone sunburst/Nitro AC's are also pretty special.

What do you guys think?

This? (imagine White Fingerboard binding too) mmmm. Sort of ties all that Oly White together, don't you think?

That's a real hard decision, Gary. Those are two of my favorite finishes and it's so tough to pick between them.

When I called Jimmy, I was narrowing down my choices for a finish. Ice Blue was my initial pick. My Nordy was Ice Blue and after seeing Aj's bass, I figured that's exactly what I wanted. Jimmy suggested the Nitro 3T Burst as an option. I thought for a bit and Jimmy convinced me to go with the 3T Burst. From everything I've seen, it's a very good choice. I've always loved 3T Burst and to have a Burst sprayed by a vintage Fender guy will be a cool story to tell for many years to come.

That being said, I can't get over how nice the Olympic White looks on Paul Turner and Matt's basses. It's the perfect shade of white. Not too bright like some. That combined with the matching headstock really sets that bass off.

It's such a hard decision to make but a great one at the same time. :)

I just got these pics today from my friend. It is Ethan Farmers Rig on the Baby Face tour and a pic of him with his Alleva Coppolo LM-5 Custom 5 string bass.. The bass was a NAMM '07 custom order piece that Ethan bought soon after.. I thought that i would share them with you guys.

The last pic is of Jimmy doing final tweaking on Ethan's bass minutes before he went on stage with Baby Face..

That's a pretty sweet looking bass and rig. After checking out AC's website and the different options, I am curious about what kind of frets do most people choose? With my 55-02's I have gotten use to some smaller fretwire, but just wanted to know what you guys were getting on your basses.

I will agree with the above about the Olympic white basses looking great. I wish my gas would settle and let me pick a bass. If I had the money today it would probably be an LG5.
