I absolutely love the RA-5 that TB's own Ruben Rodriguez owns. It's the Olympic White one.
If I went with an RA-5 someday, that would be what I would go with.

I played that bass.....it made me want a RA so bad...............especially that silver one..........
Nice! I love that Olympic White. The perfect shade, IMO. That whole bass just works.
Not for me, because of the tortoise shell guard. Brown and black....blahhh.

I've always dug that look. Avishai Cohen has Ruben's old Fender which has that same color scheme. I just dig it for some reason.

Mitch's LG5 (and almost identical to what mine will look like. But I opted to add FB binding and I'm going with Indian Rosewood)
For once I love the way this thing looks as well as plays! I normally get over how a bass looks after a fairly short time with it but I can't say enough for her. I hope everyone elses are as great as this one has turned out to be!

Here's my question du jour. While I wait for my 3T Sunburst/Nitro LG5 (August/Sept) targeted delivery, I am now rethinking whether I really want to opt for FB binding. I keep seeing all these beautiful AC's in 3T Sunburst without binding and think maybe I should go for the purist vibe.
So ... FB Binding on my Indian Rosewood LG or No Binding?

I still dig the binding but it's a tough decision. With or without both have a different vibe.
Here's a pic of Dario Deidda's beat up old Fender. It's burst and has binding and I think they go well together. It's still definitely vintage. Just a different vintage flavor.

BTW, Dario's bass looks great to me with the binding..and its even better to hear him play it.

Maybe I missed it, but did Kirk (or anyone else) compare the two bridges yet?? (Hipshot vs. the new AC "Vintage" bridge).
