Good move IMO. I can't believe there would be that much difference in tone between the Hipshot and Badass, and the look is MUCH nicer with the Hipshot IMO (although that big chunk of Badass is pretty badass also!). I much prefer the Hipshot though.
That's going to be a killer bass!
Wait until you hear that LM in a mix!

Yeah, I'm not too crazy about how the Badass looks on the LM5 and like Jonno, I prefer the quick string release option.
EXACTLY what I was about to say, and as an owner of a model with the Hipshot on it, you won't be disappointed. I personally guarantee it.
I'm also in the camp that really digs the quick release convenience, and +1 to Ken's comments. I really can't imagine the BA bringing that much, if anything noticeable, to the table... at least on that bass with those woods. IMHO!
I don't like the Badass Bridge at all. Good call on the Hipshot. They are rock solid, easy and convenient and it looks better. A Win-Win-Win!

Has anyone been to the Alleva Coppolo website lately, when you get to the media page and try to select pricing & options, or colors, nothing seems to happen. Anyone else experiencing this? I've tried a couple of browsers same issue. Maybe God's trying to tell me something.

I don't think it has worked for a while now, since the change to the new site format. Well, it hasn't worked for ME at least, don't know about others.
Yep. His website is still not complete, and apparently kind of a low priority for him, 'cause it's been that way for a while, and even his old website wasn't really that actively maintained.

I've now had my LG at 3 rehearsals and 3 gigs, music from blues to dance/funk to worship. Without exception, and without prompting, I've had people approach me and tell me the bass sounded great at each event.
The nickels are cool too, but it's true.........I kinda prefer DRs....I'm intrested in seeing what else Jimmy comes up with,though.........I'm sure that with Jimmy's taste they will probably be great......
Anyone else notice that you NEVER see an LM for sale in the classifieds.....?.........hmmmm........
