Dang, that's just friggin' beautiful!
+1...unbelievable...but what are we looking at here, an LM with rosewood or an LG with 70's PU placement? Does not look like LG spacing to me???

It's not an LM or an LG, it's a 1600.
Anyone try the D'Addario half rounds on their AC? Was thinking of getting a set for the LG.
Yes, it's a 1600 with spalted maple top, 70's pickup spacing Bacote board and a 3 band pre
Most likely alder unless it's got a custom body.I see, interesting...would that be ash?
Thanks.

Thing is, I think it's actually been that way for a while, tho. Funny, I just communicated with someone else who didn't know that was there. Maybe the site needs to be reviewed by a focus group for usability. Sounds like it's not laid out too intuitively.Cool...thanks. Didn't realize Jimmy got the site model descriptions updated.

Well I've had this bass for a few weeks now and couldn't be happier with it! Some more pics:
That is a fine looking bass you have there. A 1600 is always nice to hear and see. A friend of mine has a nice 1600. Has the 70's spacing and sounds really good. I remember when Jimmy had his first shop at 1600 Broadway. Had a lot of nice basses. I would go to Sadowsky and Jimmys who were in the same building. That was some bass players haven. Roger then moved to Brooklyn and Jimmy moved closer to the 48th st musicians row. Thats when his basses started really taking off. But 1600 is a good name for that bass and I would imagine it meant something to Jimmy.
