There have been so many great looking ACs since I've been away...great to see them posted. Bernie's and Jason's really do something for me- I guess I love blocks!

How does the alder/rosewood 70's pos sound Jason?

It sounds great Mitch.
Warmth of a alder rosewood with the 70's twang.
I dig it.
I'm really happy with the blocks and binding.
We also had "BIGG REDD" inlayed at the 12th fret.

That is sweet Jason!! I love the Inlay

Well, I went to the shop today and met Jimmy and Ceasar...had a nice visit.

Andy, your body was not back yet.

Anyway, I loved the basses. I played all 4 of the ones pictured and each sounded great. My fav was the orange 5 string...what a fantastic sounding bass. The 4 string P-Bass also sounded killer.

My least favorite was the Koa topped 5...sounded great but had the compression that tops tend to add. Not that it's a bad sound, just not my sound.

All in all the drive was worth it. Once the shop is set up and Jimmy is happy with it, it's gonna kill. I know I'll be placing an order within the next month or so.

Here are some pics from today...

Jason did you also get the four string in the add?

Hey Andrew,

I did also get the four string, but it wasn't working for me.
It sounds amazing, but i've played 5 exclusively for so long that I was too uncomfortable every time I took it out.
That bass now lives in NYC with my friend, Adam Mason, bass player for Les Nubian.

ahhh ceasar!!!!
That is a great dog.. I spoiled him pretty bad when in NY.. He loves Pizza..

I walk in...hand Jimmy his lunch, bend down to pet the dog and then he (the dog, not Jimmy) walked right in between my legs and just stood there and let me pet him. Jimmy said I was in with Ceasar...I like that!

I think Ceasar likes the french fries from In-N-Out too!

As FunkMasterJono posted, I have my LG5. Picked it up, last night, from a friend who was kind enough to take delivery of it for me, while I was making my big move from the UK to Australia.

It is 3TS, nitro, standard bridge, Indian RW, passive tone control. I played it briefly unamplified, felt great and sounded good. I then took it straight to Jono's gig. It sounded truly wonderful. Helps that he is a great bass player. I'm looking forward to getting to know his bass.

So, I'm wondering what bass rig Jimmy has set up in the AC "factory" way out there on the west side. Anyone know?

Yup ... Jimmy has a brand new AG 500SC and DB 210 in black with the sliver grill.

Hey guys, check out this pick of a bass that Jimmy just made for one of my students back in NYC. It's a RA4, 3TS, Indian board (i believe)
This guy has been foaming at the mouth for an AC for longer than I can remember.
By the looks of things, he's gonna be psyched.
Jimmy's email to him read like this "Simply amazing!!! The bass plays, sounds, and looks exactly like what I am going for. "

Hey Jason, would love to see that pic - where'd it get to? I was just talking to Jimmy about that bass, he's pretty pumped about it. I've got to check out one of these rosewood boarded RA basses someday, just to see what they are all about.

Yes, yes, we need more pics... because they don't cause any GAS. :hmm:

I saw this bass unassembled yesterday. The burst is fantastic in person...Jimmy's guy does an amazing job. The neck was gorgeous as well. If your student is not psyched with this bass there is something wrong with the universe!!!
