Tommixx and Vic.. Nice basses!!! Love the Vintage style bridge on the CAOJ LG too.
Vic cant wait to hear how it feels when you play through your regular rig.
Congrats

Well, I'm happy to say that I'm actually the lucky owner of that CAOJ LG5. After I bought it I talked to Vic about how great it was and he started looking into an LM5. I told him how cool it would be if we could A/B the LG5, LM5, his Sadowsky and his MTD walnut/ash (same wood combo as mine) through his myriad bass amps/cabs:p.

Then it struck me...I don't have any gigs coming up, and I need to start writing my first two chapters of my dissertation or else I will face certain death at the hands of my wife and family, so I offered to send it out to Vic. He graciously obliged to pay shipping both ways and the deal was done.

My fingers aren't doing any playing lately (except for typing on my Mac) so it is great to get a "live mix", A/B report from Vic. We have pm'd so much this past year about tone that I know what he's talking about when he describes tone so I knew that I was in good hands.

Anyway, it's a beautiful bass, sounds great, and I'm already planning an LM5. What really made this bass special, besides the DN fingerboard (with a REALLY cool mark/void/rough spot near the 19th fret or so), is the 9/11 etching on the plate. I will always have a place in my heart for the victims of that day and I feel like the bass honors those feelings. The serial number also ends in a "T" which stands for "transition" - basses that were started in NY and finished in CA. It's already a collector's item:D

I'm tickled to have this bass and to be an AC fan!

BTW, can I have a club number please?:hyper::hyper::hyper:

...as we do quite a lot of, btw, and yeah, this just kinda' worked out, and we're helping each other out with some info as a result. All I can say is, I'm super grateful for the opportunity, and can't wait to check'em all out "live" this weekend! :)

And yeah, you are lucky to have this special piece. Holy moly! :)

LOL...I think SQUID has me beat!

:hiding:

We have discussed the severity of our illness in depth numerous times and have come to the conclusion that neither if us are treatable with the current levels of technology. We have resigned ourselves to the fact we will continue on this path until there are no more basses we covet or we are completely broke whichever comes first! I do have another 3TS AC on the way and I am eyeing a Sadowsky that I don't think I will be able to shake...

Peace,

T

Don't get me involved bro. I am too poor for one of these basses.. And you know I am a Musicman guy;)
