Just my $0.02, but the RA5 is very different than the LG5, and is extremely versatile - does a great job with the slap/funk thing, but has a deep rich sound for fingerstyle as well. Obviously the LM5 is a further departure from the LG5 than the RA5, but for me "more" different is less desirable. Of course I have a huge RA bias... :eyebrow:

You're killin me...:help::D
BTW... your RA-5 is the backgound on my computer.

I've been pondering an LM myself at some point.......I'd like a KBP, but I don't think I play enough P Bass to justify a $3000 one........
+++++++++1 I tried a couple at NAMM this year. They're great basses but it would probably spend more time at home in my closet than on stage. I'm very happy with my LM5 choice. I should be getting it around NAMM time.

Better pics as promised... White LG5 Fretless, with ebony fingerboard. No idea what the finish is. Jimmy? The ebony really helps this one sing, and it's ready to go after Mitch set it up yesterday. It's probably still in for one more string change before it's totally right.
