Still nothing, and now the 'estimated deliver date' has disappeared from the websiteI assume the snow is slowing everything down. I hope it doesn't sit in the truck all weekend

The drama continues. No bass, and when I talked to Fedex, they said that 'the way the bass was shipped usually results in no Saturday delivery option'... whatever that means.
Unbelievable.... it's now 5 days on a 2 day shipping deal, with no end in site. I'm hoping that I can pick it up at the depot today (wherever that might be
I've never gone through anything like this with shipping a package. I guess Christmas season + snow equals a bad time to ship

In the larger scheme of things, it's no big deal. I rarely deal with Fedex, and have had wonderful luck with UPS over the years. The thing that bums me out is that every time I talk the Fedex, I get a different story (i.e., 'they deliver to 10pm, so just hang in there', 'the depot closed at 9 and we can't contact them, but the package will be put back on the truck tomorrow', then 'second day air does not go back on the truck for re-delivery on Saturday'
Given that they lost the package for the first two days of the two day shipping, I'm not very hopeful about this whole thing today
OK... enough of my drama... back to the Alleva's. I'm sure this will eventually work itself out.
That really stinks. I prefer UPS also, not sure why but they just seem better. I shipped out one of my basses vis USPS Priority at the request of the buyer and I wouldn't recommend that either..I've gone to the depot to pick it up, if it's not on the truck on the way to your house that is the only other place it should be, call first...

Wow.............somewhat scary stuff..........especially considering I have a bass out for delivery this week as well...........this shipping basses around the holidays is indeed nervewracking.......
I feel for you man. I was super nervous the whole time my bass was being shipped and I didn't have half the problems you have had. Mine finally showed up later in the evening. I really hope you get yours today.
On a different note. I put a set of TI jazz flats on my KBP-4 as soon as I got it. After a little set up work the bass plays and sounds fantastic. The TIs are now a part of the bass and will never come off. I think I finally found MY bass. I'll write up a proper review after I've spent some more time with it.
