Brian even emailed me that I could quickly take it out and take a look and then put it back in the case to warm up. However, one thing you learn at the age of 51 is to relax and take your time (or else you get tired and have to go to bed early

I am headed out to a gig but I wanted to chime in and say I am happy you got her! I would be freaking out knowing that Nitro was in a truck overnight somewhere....I have had some SERIOUS problems with a couple in the past. In this case patience is definitely a virtue! Good luck and post up your thought after you get her out in the air.

I just got these pics from jimmy that i wanted to share .. its the new CNC machine.. I like the one pic of where the other machines he uses are pushed to the side to make way.
He will be able to do the same thing only more consistently with the CNC...
I will ask Jimmy to stop in and talk about the new toy.
The thing looks like a Zamboni ice rink machine.

In the larger scheme of things, it's no big deal. I rarely deal with Fedex, and have had wonderful luck with UPS over the years. The thing that bums me out is that every time I talk the Fedex, I get a different story (i.e., 'they deliver to 10pm, so just hang in there', 'the depot closed at 9 and we can't contact them, but the package will be put back on the truck tomorrow', then 'second day air does not go back on the truck for re-delivery on Saturday'). That's the stuff that has me worried.... no one seems to know what is happening here.
Given that they lost the package for the first two days of the two day shipping, I'm not very hopeful about this whole thing today
OK... enough of my drama... back to the Alleva's. I'm sure this will eventually work itself out.

I will NEVER use Fed Ex again! I have had two different bass's delivered to me. The first bass I waited all day for and nothing. Checked the Fedex site and it showed delivered. I go outside of my home and the box is laying on the curb at the street!
The second bass that they delivered to me ...same thing again..wait all day and nothing. Check the website and it shows delivered. Then a knock on my door. It was my neighbor with my bass. The FedEx driver left it by the elevator on the gorund floor of my condo building and I live on the 3rd floor.

Very cool! When I briefly talked to Jimmy about the green bass, he mentioned that he just took the plunge on a CNC to do the very basic body blanks, etc. That makes a lot of sense to me, so that he can focus on the more important stuff that makes his basses Alleva's.
