I think I would feel the urge to swap those bridges if those two beauties were mine.
OK, the ice blue with maple fretboard looks great. How would it be without blocks and binding?

Uh... Dan... how did you get your hands on my basses?

Just my opinion guys, but I always have to tweak my pickup height, 'cuz there is no way Jimmy can set my bass up exactly the way I like it unless I'm there in the shop with him. New setup and new strings generally mean a different (even if only marginally) pickup height adjustment.

Different (from Dan's) fretboard on that LG perhaps (or just the pic exposure)...

I've spent the last few weeks flipping a few of my basses to try and snag that sweet vintage white/tort 5 string in classfieds, and didn't quite get it all done in time.
So, just signing in here in hopes of maybe getting heads up when stuff hits classifieds.
If you guys are as rabid as Reverend and G&L guys, that oughta work out for me

Hey, welcome to the thread. As we discussed earlier today, as Jimmy ramps up production my guess is there will eventually be some nice, more 'standard' LM's and LG's without all the upgrades that should work out great for you, and be significantly less expensive and IMO and IME 'just as good' in every way!
We will keep our eye out for you!

thx for the tip. That cao might be the cat's meow, but I'm having a hard time reconciling the color with my somewhat traditional vintage mindset. It's also a little outside my comfort range, despite all it's cool options. Thanks for the tip, and I'm pondering it anyway

Absolutely - that's a fretless board made of ebony, just poking fun at Dan (and myself) over our remarkably similar preference of color choice.

I saw this in the for sale post for that candy orange jiuce finished 5:
"If you guys want the AC mojo but without such a high price tag I would take a hard look at his NF ("No Frills") series. The NF he had at NAMM killed, IMHO."
I'd like to hear all about this. I don't see anything on his webstie about them...but, this has definatley got my interest.

Too me it sounds like saving and jumping on the right used one is a better idea unless black is your favorite colour.
