Club Bebop, de Gier

I was at Sander's workshop today to drop off my Celinder, and I played on the 4-string version of your bass. It was a special edition, 'cause it had an OBP-3 installed. Fan-tas-tic bass. I want one. Now. But I have a Lakland on order, which is also great.

Did a replacement saloon gig last weekend with a rock trio. I was suprised by the dynamic range and "cut through" sound.
Only one set, cause people in the were drunk etc. Dropping beer, falling..! Not as bad as the Blues Brother chickenfence scene but still.

For the account of the CLUB, there are not so many owners yet but hopefully we'll get this thin going!:hyper:

Received my 2 DeGier BeBop basses this past Saturday. First impression is the build quality is as good as Sadowsky, Lull, Fodera, Alleva Coppolo,(all basses I have owned) etc. Playability and tone is a notch above any other modern J type on the market IMO. The neck feels absolutely killer! The PHAT switch is awesome as it boost the low mids in just the right spot. I said when I ordered these that they were going to be my last bass purchase good or bad. Fortunately it turned out better than good. Only negative are the gig bags. They aren't bad, but I would have been willing to pay a few dollars more for a better quality gig bag.
These basses are a steal at the present price.

I am considering a DeGier Bebop. Any of you have experience with his bass after the honeymoon period? Also would you consider it on par with the other high end contenders? I was thinking of a Ash Body with Rosewood board and Aero pickups.
The other concern I have is the expense of sending the bass back if it needs some kind of major adjustment.

I'm having a De Gier Bebop built, mine will be #96. So far the neck is kinda finished, the body as well so now it's time for hardware and electronics! Here are the pics I have so far:

Maple/rosewood neck with dots+binding. I'm the only Bebop owner that has dots+binding!

I chose Pharao Gold as the color. The lacquer and body had a light chemical reaction which makes the finish slightly translucent. Hip!

Body+neck. I love the combination so far! It will get a parchment pickguard.
