Thanks! Yeah, I'm super stoked about it already. I have yet to see even a picture of the finished product, but between the different work in progress pics, I really think it's gonna' look fantastic.

The low B and E have a shorter winding, but the rest are standard. I may have to change the high E to a .020, but I'll keep everyone posted and I'll try to make an effort to get something half-decent recorded. Needless to say, once I know which gauges work, I'll be ordering in bulk!!!

Brilliant dude, thanks for the info.
I get my basses string-through-body on the B string to take into account the shorter length and where the string hits the tuning peg, works for 33" but it'd still be an issue on 32".
I've grown to like a slightly softer string feel since I went 33", but you can get that feel with heavier gauge strings on a shorter scale length, it's a nice combination :)

I only have a 33" scale Stambaugh 4, so I'm curious to how the strings will feel. I couldn't tell much difference with the Stambaugh. I had some Fender Urge I basses, but I can't say I ever really warmed up to them. I have a RA Mouse 30, but that's an entirely different beast, but still fun.

I'm sure it'll be just fine mate, Cliff has made at least 2 32" 6ers that I know of which have been very well received, and I'd kill for one, but I only know you lot by your screen names... ;)
Seriously though, I know it's going to be a killer instrument and I can't wait to see it!
One day I hope to be able to have Cliff make me a 32" 6er too, one day...
