Club Bordwell Part 4

Question for the group…
My new CB bass has a side input jack, which is a first for me. I like to sit on the couch and play in my office, and my angled Monster cable keeps popping out.

Can someone recommend another brand cable that has one angled end?
The Monster cable's entire plug casing seems to be too large I guess.

Thanks!

Hey Scott,

Mogami guitar cable right angle
WBC guitar cable right angle (Mogami and Neutrik parts) "World's Best Cable" brand.
GLS Audio guitar cable right angle (cheaper, reliable, serviceable)

I've done hundreds of bass and sound gigs with GLS XLR's and instrument cables, but also have some Mogami and WBC. I use a WBC with a Neutrik "Silent" right angle on all bass gigs and have 2 GLS as backups. I can't hear a difference, and so far no failures.

All of these have similar sized right angle end, I think any would work.

I've been super grateful that I don't care for 35" scale basses!!
I will say this, and I really mean this…
Cliff puts his bridges at the back of the bass, so his 35" scale basses feel very short. My hands just cannot handle a 5 string anymore.

It really shocked me when I bought my first one at how easy it was to go from it to even my 30" basses.

Example, 35" next to a 34".

That is a stunner! Someone is going to be a very happy new owner.
The cool thing is someone just bought both of them, pending payment.
So both of the 5 strings in my profile pic will be going to a really great talkbasser that wants them.

Now the problem is… I have to change my profile pic I've had forever! Lol
Bass pic or face pic?

Glad to hear they found suitable homes.

I hope I'm suitable enough! I've been trying to get back into a CB for years but every time I get close to a deal life would conveniently happen and put a stop to it. Glad Scott could be so awesome to deal with and make it come true again! And in such a big way with these beauties! I don't think it's really hit me yet and probably won't until UPS shows up at the door.

Great talkbasser here ^^^^

Selling all three five strings this week ended up a great way to meet some cool bass players.

I think the pics I took are lost on a Photobucket account I don't remember the login info to anymore, but I did come across these original photos of my old CB that has driven me to get another… or two haha! I'll update on Friday when the two McNeelys show up with a current family photo when they meet their long lost CT third cousin twice removed on their sister's side. It's starting to hit me!!! It's happening!!!
