Heh, if I just had a ton of cash, I'd order both now.
Anyway, just a Bartolini pre, but they seemed to have updated things. Regular bass boost cut, active treble boost that cuts passively like a tone knob, and push/pull high/low mids. Between the PJ pickups, it's adequately able to nail a variety of tones. I tend to flip between a thuddy p-bass tone to a nice Jaco sound.

Every bass I have seen on Cliff's website in Bloodwood looks awesome, a really nice choice in wood.
Ok, here's how it's looking so far.....
34" scale (heh, this will be my first 34" scale with a low B!!!) Rami 6 string, more than likely, I'm going to shoot for the walnut and acrylized fingerboard as the bass is pictured. Probably 18mm spacing. Audere 4 band pre, Z modes, series/parallel/split coil for each Nodstrand Dual Coil (probably acrylized wood covers to match the fingerboard OR radiused figured walnut covers). If I go with the acrylized (non-radiused) covers, I might get a 1/2 ramp that is about the size of a pickup. Ash body, maybe a tone block that takes some edge of the acrylized fingerboard, modern neck construction.

I agree... It's got a really rich colour. I really want to see how the one with the mineral stained poplar top turned out.
Sounds like a killer bass.

The radiused figured walnut covers would be sweet. Sounds like it will be a sweet bass! What made you choose the 34" scale?
Can't wait to see the build process for this one. Planning a third already too... nice!
