Hi Folks - I thought you might like to see the birth of a new baby from Tom Clement Basses...
Tom is making me his first-ever 7-string fretted (wide-neck) bass and this is a picture of the neck (prior to truss-rod insertion and fretboard glueing) compared to a Clement 4-string.

Well the shop is a bit of a mess but I may have to do it sometime.

I guess the next one could be a broadneck 8-string or even a 9-string, 10-string, 11-string... etc. ... who knows... the only limit is the imagination and the user requirements... Thanks for the thoughts!
What's the capacity of the Snicker's compartment on a 7 string?![]()
Nice groove and nice sound! I especially like the scoopy sound of the lower end. I'm assuming you ran this pretty much straight into Garage Band w/o efx, EQ.
Lincoln,
I believe I hear some Marcus Miller in there somewhere. Good deal. I like it. Thanks.![]()
Yes, you've guessed right... The 7-string is also UK bound!
Nice clip Lincoln. Now i just have to figure out how to save it to your basses file on my computer......t
Thanks for the interest - and how is your Clement bass going?
So, your new 'baby' is on its way - bet you can't wait!
USPS are nice people...
Serious rig too...
What sort of music do you play, and what will you be using the Clement #177 for when it arrives...?
