Cool, nofretz6,
And speaking of looking at head stocks I see you have one with a string tree and one without. Any particular differences you have noticed?
SC = South Carolina, Southern Comfort, single coil, sour cream, etc. All kinds of things.

174 didn't have one and there was a bit of buzz on the open stings. Had one put on 184 and requested an extra for 174 to put on when I change out strings.

Dear all,

I've been waiting on tenterhooks for my new bass to arrive (#197 - now on the gallery on Tom's site). Was sent very speedily on the 9th by Tom, arrived into the UK on the 11th, and is still being 'processed' by Parcelforce.

How long did it take for others to receive their new toy? Wavey_davey? Any others on this side of the pond?

As an aside, I don't know how you all manage to get your better halves to agree to purchasing multiple basses - I'm still in the doghouse for buying my [DEL]first[/DEL] I mean only Clement!
Thanks,
Phil

Hey Phil!

I'm on the other side of the pond, and then a little bit extra!

ParcelFarce are undoubtedly sitting on it waiting for customs to let it through, or to apply the relevant taxes.

In my case, I had to wait for UK customs to realise that the destination was actually in Guernsey (ie outside of UK tax jurisdiction) which was over a week, then I had to wait for Guernsey customs to accept and tax it (another 3 days!)

I was on the phone every other day hassling the parcelfarce guys, dont know if it helped or not - But I think your time frame is about what I'd expect. 10 days or so.

It's crazy that it takes 2 days to get across the atlantic, but then a further 8 to get posted to your door!

That may not justify the WHY you need 2, but sure helps when you explain that you accidentally bought a second!
;)
"Honestly, honey, I don't know how it happened. The next thing I knew there was a new custom Clement bass in my hands...it was an accident, I swear!".

I also claim midlife crisis....at least I'm not spending my money on fast women, classic cars :crying: or recreational drugs.

#199 is really HOT stuff. Take a look if you dare. Get out your napkins before you click this link:[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

Hey- did anybody notice that the body for this beauty is alder? Last I knew Tom didnt have a supplier for alder- thats good news for another relatively lightweight body wood that usually "plays well" with most other woods. :)

Dont know about you guys, but I think this is SWEEEEEEEET!!!
