Merry Xmas All! Been rather busy and not had a lot of time to post.

Mr Walker - Lovely piece, far superior (in both skillz and Festiveness) to the usual Xmas Chuff that get (over)played on the radio!

Welcome sreldas! Of the 2 basses that Tom's built me, I can play them all night without a hint of fatigue. I dont know how your shoulder position would affect things, but with Tom's babies coming out consistently under 8lbs - I would think you'd find them comfortable!

Subscript - That bass looks lovely. Read your thread and totally agree with you on the neck. Having a 19mm 5 string on a small Ergo body with zero neck dive is testament to the attention to detail that Tom puts in. He asked for pic of me playing so he could make sure the bass sat in the right position.

Tom - thanks personally for 2 superb basses. I'm almost a year into owning them and I have never been happier with my sound, playing and inspiration. And thanks for gracing the world with your craftmanship (as shown below) and your good nature.

Hi Club Members,

Our club fellow Lincoln sells his Clement #063 on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/Clement-Bass-Fr...5?pt=Guitar&hash=item230cca7f6d#ht_500wt_1156). Like Tom says it's a real steel. Is someone here interested? Make him a good offer! He can use it and I'm sure he asks to little for this superb bass. And besides Tom would appreciate it when the bass stays in the family. And it's the one that Waveydavey found too. Come on guys it's Christmas. :eyebrow:

The 2011 year is right around the next week end. 2010 went so fast.
Ordered an ACG o2 preamp 4 knob with passive tone yesterday to install into my Clement SC #122. Wonder how long it takes to receive it from Scotland to Carolinas, USA?

Taking stock of this basses components I am feeling a bit global: a Florida USA built bass, Netherlands Q tuner pups, Enland's Rotosound strings and now a Scottish preamp. The mahogany body comes from South America as does the fret board bloodwood. And the shoulder strap is a Levy leather one from Canada. I feel like every note is a world of music!

Just got back from my first rehearsal with #216. Everyone was impressed with the sound, especially the B string, light weight and thin neck profile. This is the third five string I've owned, and the only one with a great sounding B string.

You saw the link back ago on the pictures for the Winter Concert? I saw the concert on local TV Sunday night which is great 'cause my wife (handicapped) did not get to attend but now she did through the airwaves of TV. Now I'm a TV star (at least in her and my family's eyes). COOL. :hyper::D:bassist::cool:

Is there any chance to post this on the forum or Y.T.? I'd like to see and hear that C bass in action.

Many great bass creations for the new year - 217 & 219 look great :hyper:!

I wonder if #63 was ever sold. It took a lot of self restraint to keep from clicking the buy now button.

Question: I'm thinking of setting the 6'ers up with an E-F configuration (really don't find myself hanging around the B too often). Are there any single F strings for sale in stainless round and flat wound nylon wrap? Right now I have Foderas on the fretted and LaBellla tapes on the fretless.

Obviously Medium Scale is the choice, but I don't think locally I can get them. How much of a difference is there going to be with regs? Again, Medium is going to happen, but for the next little bit.
