That's quite a fine looking bass there Santiago. I'll bet you're very eager to play that beauty.
Indeed! Tom told me that he might ship next week! (after oiling) depending on the weather, I will post clips/pics as soon as it gets to me
As far as my inquires on different places, that would give me a "rounder" tone on the D G strings and a little more mid focused E A aaand also giving a balanced volume overall the strings
of course all this has yet to be proven correct

First off Happy Labor Day! I hope many of you have the day off as I do. I have ordered #248 from Tom. It will be a Jon 5 string at 34" scale, and have the inset Straplocks. Do any of you with a similar configuration have reccomendations for a case, either hardshell, or VERY well made softside, which will fit? Thank you in advance!

I've got this one: Link Removed from Canto Music Equipment in Poland. I don't know if it's available in the US. It gives good protection, is water repellent, is a stiff gigbag and is light weight. If you need more protection, it will be probably heavier. I've got also a double gigbag from the same producer for my Ann and Jon.

Indeed, Godsbassman on page 28 ordered one.
I got an Undercover Twin gigbag for 164 and 177, they both fit well, nice and snug - and the case itself is really light. Even with both basses in, its still lighter than my old Warwick and Rockcase!
Protection wise, I think it's excellent, there's no gaps in the padding you sometimes find on other softcases and cos the fit is good, they don't rattle around in there

Yes. Expected to be in todays mail. Will post my thoughts. Am curious to the fit for #196 Anne. Tom says my Jon fits for sure.
Word of caution on the Conklin case. Bill Conklin told me not to order the "inexpensive ones seen around the web". Buy directly from him $200.00 shipped CONUS for a quality case. The copy ones seen on Ebay, etc "are junk."

I think all who have had a Clement Built know the drool inducing feeling of that first pic! - Like Bompa said - just wait till the first routing is done, you'll be damn near wetting yourself in excitement!
