"Darlene" is my wife's name and it appears you and I have come up with the same Jon bottom / Anne upper body design. Mine is not headless. See post #728 for full specs.
I like the no fore arm contour because it keeps my fretting hand in the "proper position for me". It is very functional for me and this bass also is a culmination of designs and features that I have come to over the years to be "the bass" for my needs. What no control knobs? Yes, they confuse me: I need plug in to preamp/amp and play type thing.

Hey fellow Clement members. You might see that I just sold Clement #96 in the for sale section of this site today but that does not mean I am leaving this fine club. I will definitely be buying another Clement in the future and look forward to working with Tom on a build of my own very soon.

All of the other basses I own are 35" scale and with #96 being 34" and un-lined, my intonation has been a bit off when playing so I want to have Tom build me a 35" scale Clement and go with a lined fingerboard.

I was very unsure if I should sell it so I brought it to Guitar Center the other night to try it on their different amps and the crowd that gathered around when I was playing it was just amazing. Everyone kept asking for more information about the bass and when I was playing it through the Ampeg rig with an 8x10 cabinet and SVT Classic head, the whole store pretty much stopped everything they were doing. That firmed it up for me right there so now I want to have a Clement built to my specs and can't wait.

Well, I was up to 22 basses in the basement, before the last supernova sales. That's not counting electric cellos, uprights, guitars and projects. So i guess it's more of a warehouse than a museum. But i'm realizing I'm turning into a clement only player. So I'm selling off a few of the other basses.

BTW, this must be the sweetest piece of scrap wood ever! Tom's tested the oil finish on the ebony:

Quite frankly, I'm surprised that Tom still has these ebony tops available! I remember he got several when he ordered mine! It's an amazing top!
