I agree with all the positive comments. Mine is just so comfortable to play; it's effortless.
So, to repeat a previous post of mine...anyone letting go of their 4-string 30-31” Clement getting ready for their next custom build?
I'm seeing fewer and fewer of Tom's (and Rob Allen's) basses on the used market.
@tjclem is local to me... and I can't believe I failed to visit his shop while your bass was being built. I love this! I think something similar to this in a fretless 32" or 33" would be amazing.

That will be hard to find I have built only a handful of 30" and no 31" scale basses.

You need to come see the 23" scale I am working on now.
Darn! I actually wish one of you TB'ers got to play it as I'm pretty much blown away by it. FretFree, if you're around when the next one (see below) is done, you have my permission to go over to Tom's and take it for a test drive!
...NO relation to Tom, but married to his basses! I actually have to thank all you folks here as someone turned me onto Tom a few years ago and the rest of you short-scale nuts really helped me to dial in what works on a short scale. Tom is the coolest guy for having you involved in every step--here's a preview of my next TB-inspired unicorn:
But, you WOULD build a short scale if commissioned? (Secretly hoping for yes, bank account says - whaaaat?)

30" and 32" I have the scale templates for. I don't have 31. But yes i like doing the shorty's

AWESOME bass playing here. 23", piezo-only, with Galli chrome flats. This guy is rocking it in this sweet 3-piece--that is just a fun band to listen to and watch! Gotta go practice and listen to more Prince.

Newest member of my bass family. It is the second Clement bass in my stable and I'm loving it. Tom does amazing work and is a great guy. The specs:

Tom, this has been my number one for three services a week plus a practice since Fall 2018. I got her well before that, but I've finally climbed the mountain of sufficient competency on unlined fretless, one step at a time (no pun intended). I let myself do it. And stuck with it. Man, this bass and I have bonded SO SO MUCH. What a joy. Now that I'm up at the top of K2 (where I thought I'd never ever be) I actually have no desire to play any other bass. So, I guess it wasn't ONLY about getting my playing up to that place. With a bass like this, it's a whole bonding thing too. Sir, you have changed my world through your work to build this instrument. And I thank you.
