Club Decade!

Don't think I've posted here. I present Decade #D06 ordered new in 2005. Stack knob mod and the essential thumbrest from Roger. Looks like I need a club #.

Here is a Jeannie's guard with thumbrest. He has two designs - one is very thin and slides under the Dark Star. The one I have lays on top of the guard.

Since I like the tone from using a pick with Dark Stars over the neck pickup or fretboard, I felt a guard was necessary.

Is that actual aluminum? I didn't know Jeannie's did the real stuff.

When will the short-scale Decades be available to order? The web-site says Coming Soon. I asked a dealer about ordering one last week, but I was told they weren't in production yet.

I keep thinking about getting one more Lakland and I've decided on a short scale. Markus Orange vs. Natural?

Not sure when they are available, but a short scale Decade would KILL!

My fretless Proto is getting zero playtime :hmm:. I've gotta get some different strings on her or put the fretted neck back on, cause right now I prefer my Pentabuzz w/ chromes.

Proto's wearing MTD nickels, that the previous owner strung thru the body. I can't get the fatter strings to intonate, some saddles are at their extremes. And, I play by using the lines.

She looks so good w/ the ebony fb though....

What to do, what to do???

Love that bass! Yeah...since you aren't using it much, I'd put the other neck on and take advantage of the neck pickup placement. Should get some different flavors out of it, unlike your other basses.

That's not true. Your dealer is probably referring to the Skyline version. I have a US short scale Decade on order now. I originally ordered it as a standard scale and switched the neck to short scale as soon as I saw the prototype. Sonic Blue, no offense Markus. It very well may have been orange had your color existed when I ordered it. Not sure about trans orange over mahogany though.
