Club Decade!

Hi,
mind if I join the club.
I have a Skyline Decade (081107828). Not sure if manufacture date is in that serial number somewhere. I picked up this bass used from MF, just before xmas. Discount coupon plus free shipping from USA to Australia, I just couldn't pass it up.
I have a couple of questions; the strings on my bass have silver/grey silk tops, no colour coded balls. Does anyone know what brand these are? they're roundwound, probably nickels but not 100% sure.
Also has anyone tried a S/P wiring mod, if so how does it sound?

Sure! You're #30! Those stings are Lakland Steels. No experience with series wiring on the Decade....bet it would sound gargantuan!

Anyone use tapewounds? I just put some D'daddario's on and so far I'm liking them. It's a good balance for me between flats and rounds.

I bought a used 2008 Decade Skyline here at Talkbass a few months ago. I absolutely love it! I tune it BEAD and it kicks ass when I use it in my rock'n'roll band with a pick and a bit of dirt. There's some nasty mids in those Chi's! :D

I don't really have any good pics of the bass, but here's a pic from a gig this weekend:
