Wow! Not here, but I probably don't see the heat you do in your climate. Does this make the stand move down when the bass is on it?

I'm thinking of getting another with a dark board (Mac Ebony or Rosewood) but then again I may just keep the money handy for emergencies or other expenses - my first child is due this November!

No, it doesn't affect functionality, it just makes you want to wash your hands after you touch it.
All the other rubber/foam parts on the stands are fine, the problem is only with the height adjustment grip/lever part (which doesn't touch the instruments)

I just picked up a Mesa M9 carbine amp, and I love how it sounds with my VF. I was using a TC RH750 and when I changed it felt as though a blanket was lifted off of the sound of my bass.

Whoa! I missed the post earlier.
First, congratulations on the coming birth of your first child. I always tell everyone that NOTHING changes your life like that first child. Not marriage, not the second child. When you are dad, the world just looks a bit different.
BTW, I am interested in your BN6, but the timing is bad for me right now. I'm pouring everything into a new business idea and shouldn't splurge like that. On the other hand, my birthday IS coming up....
. Here's hoping fate happens to smile on the new venture and your bass is around when it does!

I am very intrigued by Line6's new scalable gear. They are kind of powered speaker PA / combo amp - speaker cabinet with 2 tens and a horn. Des anyone have any opinions about them?
I have had excellent results with Line6 in the past, including with their digital wireless for both vocal and bass.
