STOLEN BASS
Oakland, San Francisco area
Contact: David Belove [mailto:[email protected]]

BN5, Serial#731002, Macassar Ebony fretboard, slab maple neck, Spalted maple top, natural Satin finish/natural grain, chrome hardware, matching headstock, non-matching heel (plain maple)

Damn shame. That's a fine looking bass. A distinctive looking bass. In fact, even if the crackhead who stole it paints over the body, the fingerboard alone makes it an easily ID'd instrument – unlike a run-of-the-mill ubiquitous J or P in stock colours.

"Pssst – wanna buy a bass? But you can never play it in public". :rollno:

Bass & bike thieves should be basted in honey then rolled in fire ants, drawn and then slowwwwly quartered. I'll never forget having to tell an ecstatic used-bike buyer his new "deal" was stolen and that we couldn't give it back to him. Also remember the elation of the owner (who'd come in a week earlier with wanted poster w/ pics, serial # and a police report) when he got his Offroad Toad back.

Here's hoping for a speedy recovery of Spalty to David.

Just got my first F-Bass last week and it is killin'! Donovan is the man! This thing has some amazing tone and is pretty too.

The picture is when she was fresh out of the box. Had to go home to pick it up and open it at work. Couldn't wait til the evening.

Unfortunately, I am putting my mint condition, exotic topped BN4 up so sale so here's your chance to get the mother of all Fs @ at 1/2 the price. PM me. I am also selling my trans black BN4 in my avatar.

Congrats!

Sweet! If I felt comfortable with the high C I wouldn't mind a BN6. I do love how my BN5 feels, looks and sounds. Most versatile bass I've ever owned and played for that matter.

Very nice! This is such an attractive finish.

It's nice to get a bass in the summer when you don't have to wait for it to warm up before you can open it.

Glad you guys are enjoying your basses! Remember, one of the services I provide on all basses I sell is playing ALL of the bad time and wrong notes out - nothing but sweet musical joy left after I'm done with it! :D
Hm, it appears I'm going to have to send a couple of my Fs back to you... you didn't quite get them all out for me.

That's to funny Donovan... I have recently discovered you on YouTube, and enjoy your presentations of all the Fbasses that come through you. I'm in Canada and just received my BNF 6 last week from George in Hamilton. I used to have a BNF 5 way back in the 80's when I was in the Canadian Forces, but had to part with it when I got out, as they keep our instruments :( But I've finally managed to have a dream come true, and own my own Fbaas, and a BNF 6 at that..... Maybe further along the way, I'll try and save up and get the AC 6... But in the meantime, I'm quite satisfied with this beautiful instrument that I have.... :bassist:

Hi Tom,

Send those basses back to me and I'll get 'er done. It might take at least a few months for those - so be patient as I gig with, er, test and apply my process, to them. :D
