I finally put up the interview with David Pelletier - bassist with the Cirque du Soleil show "Mystere".

Please read through it, and if you have suggestions for future interviews, PLEASE send them to me. I'm not a journalist or anything, just a bass junky. :D

Thanks Donovan!

a very interesting story (good and clear written too!) the most funny part to me was, that he unconciously bought the best fretless he possibly could buy ...

I've seen 3 CDS shows and i loved every part of it; show, acrobatics and the beautyful music fitting perfectely into the show ... the total package.
Must be a great job for any musician.

I saw a CS in Vegas about 4 yrs ago, and noted a SR5 and a Lakland in the pit.(?) Great interview Donovan...I think David needs someone to send him a VF-5 to try, do you know of anyone who has one (or 2)? ;)

I just might know someone that has one or two for sale.... And yeah, he does need to try one. I asked him if he has, and the only F Bass he has played is his fretless. How crazy is that!

Hey all. I am hoping to be a soon owner of an Fbass. Someone is chirping nicely in my ear about getting a VF5 and I really want a BN5. So, if I play my cards right with my financial advisor.... wife.... we just may make this happen and I can be a proud papa of two F's. :hyper:

Wow! Two..., at the same time??? I think I might go into an F-induced catatonic state! Euphoria, that is.

That he did, but me and Tom are cool.

This is the one club I plan to be on in the next few years, period.
Yes, we are totally cool, but actually, I wasn't trying to call anyone out, but was just teasing the way I would my sons.

When I was your age the basses I pined for was an Alembic just like Stanley Clark, and a fretless Fender Jazz, just like (of course) Jaco.

It would be HARD to be a young bass player these days; so many truly distinct and yet great choices.
