Club Fbass (thread 13)

They have a brown burst studio hangin on the showroom wall right now.

Anything is possible with money :)

Don't see it on the "In Stock" page.(?)
I wish they would update that and the "Recently Sold" page more often.
Is the Studio the same price as a BN?
I'm not even sure what the "real" cost of a BN is anymore. I'm guessing list -20%?
When I bought mine 11 years ago it was <3k with upgraded finish. I think F's are still quite a deal compared to certain high end jazz clones.

Its an honor to have my FBASS (AC6) posted on the FBASS advertisement and in iBass Magazine!!!....Thanks George and Marcel and the great people from iBass!!!....truly appreciated!!

That AC6 is gorgeous. Congrats! I haven't played an AC with a 2nd pickup. Can you describe your experiences with and without the added pickup? I imagine more warmness near the neck. Thanks!

The FBASS with the single pickup, albeit... phenomenal!!...but by adding the second pickup, adds; colour, range, depth, warmth etc... it can be difficult to truly describe the nuances of this bass...

When I was going over the original build specs with Marcel and George, at the time.... I wanted a bass that could do "everything"...and this is what came out!!!...I wanted George to have a creative license to do his mastery!!!! but from Classical, Jazz...to Motown and Reggae...this bass covers it all!!!....as far as a ergonomic addie...the forward mag..(neck pickup)...its great for a jazz player like myself to lock in there!!

There is an added cost ...but I wouldn't think twice about adding a second pickup!!! Definitely worth every penny!!!

Thank you! That response really makes me want to add that to my custom build when the time comes. Going fretless. Still between a bnf and the ac. Leaning more ac now. I have to at least try a fretted AC.

You wont go wrong with either one...BNF or the AC....if you are in the Hamilton, Ontario area...I strongly encourage you to stop by the FBASS office...play them all!!..."they always treat you like family there"!!!

I live in NJ, but I visited the shop in '03 and couldn't agree more. They were incredibly nice and I saw some of the most beautiful tops in the world.

...I agree...probably the largest selection of woods I have ever seen!!!!!

Some of their exotic woods are unbelievable!!...what blew me away is how methodical...(some would say OCD...LMAO) they are about their wood and their craft!!...but the end user...you and I are the ones that truly benefit!!...
Good luck in your quest!!!
