So I thought I'd break the BN5 out for this tune. It's just a fun little number I wrote for my wife, maybe some of you might like it too. I think we could all use a little fun these days

So that's where my old BN6 lives nowadays...Congrats and I hope you guys get along
Don’t see that one(?)There’s a really nice red and black BN5 on Reverb that’s got my eye. My only “gripe” is that it’s listed as mint and the player’s slapping has started to chip the pickup covers. Unfortunately, I’ve got my eye on another big music gear purchase soon, so my F Bass interest probably has to wait a bit longer![]()
That’s pretty sweet!
It’s killing me, knowing it’s not far from my house.

Has anyone here played a BN 5 and a Spector Euro 5 LX? I've got an Alex Webster Spector with 17mm spacing, and due to some nerve damage issues, the 17mm spacing on the Spector really makes a difference for me. I see the BN 5 is 19 mm at the bridge. Is the spacing narrower/tighter at the nut?
@monsterthompson According to the Fbass website the typical nut width on a BN5 is 45mm (1.75”).
My BN5 has a nut width of 1.75” which is what I was looking for when I switched from a 90’s Ibanez ATK305 to keep a feature the same.
The ATK had a bridge spacing of 17mm or 17.5mm I cannot recall. The Fbass usually has 19mm.
I cannot speak to Spector as I have not played one.
The Euro 5 is currently showing a 1.83 width. Maybe the BN5 isn’t too spaced out for my liking after all.

Marcel, George and the team are as good as they come. It's hard not to keep on ordering basses from them, the experience is so awesome! So. I emailed the shop to ask about shipping a few sets of strings to Australia, because they seem almost impossible to find online. The site just had an overhaul so they haven’t got everything online yet, especially international shipping for those little things.
My order of 3 sets of strings still said ‘free’ under the shipping cost so that’s why I contacted the shop, because of course shipping isn’t free to Oz and I just wanted an accurate price. I also have two basses with black hardware, that have chrome neck screws from when they were apparently hard to source for the shop, and I asked about purchasing these now standard bits of hardware also.
The wonderful Son of Mr. F himself, Marcel replied to me saying because of the new site’s (very understandable) glitch at the moment, if I ordered my 3 sets of strings they’d honour the glitch of free shipping of almost $40 usd, and include the 2 sets of black neck screws and washers for free!? No better customer service have I ever received from anyone regarding my basses, amps, or anything I own to be honest.
