The one question I have is, how much of the deluxe case is leather? The stock description reads simply leather. The F Bass site reads leather/poly or words to that effect.

I can take a look at mine this weekend (pics are from my NBD) if you need to know exact amounts, but it's not like a Levy's or Harvest Leather bag. It is a lot more structured though, and protective. But the same idea as the regular gig bag.

Nothing wrong with a little pleather. Mainly trying to decide what portion of the extra $1,000 or so dollars it is.

I didn't get a deluxe, just got the bag with my "standard" bass. I'll check and see if I got an itemized receipt, not sure I did as I got it as part of my initial quote.

I have both the deluxe bag and the regular bn5 bag. I absolutely prefer the deluxe one. I'm not sure if it's real leather but it surely feels premium to me.

My bass dealer told me they were actually from Music Area. Take a look, this model looks similar.

OK, I'm quite sure both the regular Bn5 and Deluxe bags are from Music Arena. The zips on both the bags share the same logo as the Music Area one.

The leatherette bag is the Han30-eb bag. I’ve been looking for one for a while but can’t seem to find it for sale anymore. It was on aliexpress but no longer in stock.

I think my confusion was in that it looks like leather, it’s a special bag, and it reads poly leather on their site. I took that to mean both poly and leather not pleather. I’m fine with it.

I ordered a BN5 deluxe and it should be here in a few days. I had been debating on one of 3 basses, including the one I ordered. Someone said get what you want the most, so I ordered the Diva. Then, I got photos from Thomann of 5 or 6 dings and a couple of good scratches. They offered 5% off. I declined. Truthfully, I almost canceled moments after I completed the order, because I knew then, I really wanted the deluxe. So, Diva is still for sale… BN5 Deluxe inbound. Can’t wait. I’ll post some photos once I get it.

Congrats! I was going to ask what the wait time is these days, but since you said a couple of days, waiting won't be an issue.

It was in stock at Fretspot. I am horrible at waiting. I am an only child, so... I'm sure the wait time is "Hours would seem like days, captain."

I am probably crazy, but I put a deposit on an AC with him as well. I am just going for all the bucket list things at this point. I am not aware of any reason why, other than in these times, more than ever before, no one is guaranteed tomorrow. I lost my wife and best friend in September, so I am not waiting for anything any longer. My fretless Symphony is due any day/week now. Not sure what to get after that. VF5?? Another Alembic??

So sorry to hear about your wife. Yes life is short and there are no guarantees.
My bucket list has always had Ritter written on it. If you really want to go all in, think about getting a Ritter.

Funny you should say Ritter. I’ve thought they were so cool since I saw the first. There was one within driving distance a couple years ago. I took a few extra basses and set off to play a bucket list bass or 3.

The Ritter was. Blue Roya. Well made, sounded clean and modern, it was beautiful. I played it for almost an hour. The neck was very wide and flat. It wasn’t comfortable at all. The sales guy described it as a butter knife. I also played a 57 P bass with a new pickup, a Ric 4005, and an Alembic. The 57 was real close second, but I came home with the Alembic.

There is a dolphin for sale that’s amazing and I saw a few on another site that were over 20K. I have some disposable income, but not like that. Between F Bass, Stradi, and even Mayones, there isn’t a reason to go that far. But they sure are super cool to look at!

That's a beautiful bass, must be hard to let it go. I know how it goes tho. It was very emotional for me when I sold my AC5 back to Marcel a few months ago. I hope everything works out great for you.

Thank you!!! Sold other (Pedulla MVP, Roscoe Century, Spector, etc...) basses and rigs before med bills related to hand/arm work led to this and sale of mu Pedulla Interceptor.... I can always get another from Donovan down the road. Key thing is to play again without pain...BTW... Cigna sucks.... "Elective Surgery" my ass... after playing for 40+ years, I wouldn't consider I elective..lol... Thank you again for the kind words...
