I rock Foo Fighters, Nirvana, STP, Sabbath, and plenty of other rock and roll on my BN5.
To be fair, I was quoting someone from the Show Your Basses thread. I play everything on my F.

Gotcha. To be fair, I was quoting someone from the Show Your Basses thread. I play everything on my F.
I could never be a 1 brand kinda guy. So many great basses out there. Bass monogamy is a terrible idea.Yeah... there is a little part of me that is very happy it isn't a 5.
Ish has had some nice 4's in stock and Donovan has a nice one now too. Maybe those <insert brand x here> only players are coming around to F Bass quality.
My body strap pin loosens EVERY show. I know the tooth pick trick, but that seems like a sketchy fix for such a high end bass. Anyone have any tips? I wish the strap pin was in the traditional spot on the "butt" of the bass.
I moved my pin to the center of the bass, where it should be. (Only “flaw” of the BN5, lol)/QUOTE]
I'm really thinking about it... it's a weird spot for long shows with a strap. Genuinely my only complaint, which is thankfully a very small one.
I wonder if it's a new "Big F-Bass" DI/preamp?
Same here!My wallet just groaned.

Same here!
I'm hugely interested in the Smith-type pickup config that Donovan sold a few weeks ago.![]()
Anyone making a move on that BN5 deluxe on Reverb? Charcoal burst is sick but I'm not sure about the ebony board. It seems I've grown accustomed to the ash/maple tone from mine.
