Well, I received THE long-awaited email from Marcel today…my AC6 is shipping tomorrow! No pics to share atm…but I’m okay with that. Marcel said it’s gorgeous—looking forward to opening the gigbag!

Great question, I also wonder if bass is different. He has another video on sustain (which I found less useful), and his different scenarios did affect the low E vs high E strings differently (tho not major for either).
That said... I was quite surprised how much of a difference pickup height made in the video. I feel like unless we're accurately measuring and aligning pickup to string distance on each guitar (or bass) we're comparing, there's a decent chance it might explain a good chunk of the difference. This is based on the fact I don't regularly do this measurement... Maybe others do![]()

Thx! 34” scale, adjustable ebony bridge, 19mm, standard woods/electronics, extra-slim asymmetrical neck-carve, black hardware, wood knobs, straplocks, and ramp. I debated going with 18mm bridge, but I already have a BN6 (also extra-slim asymmetrical neck-carve, 19mm, 34”)…Congratulations! The AC6 is one of my favourite basses of all time. I've seriously considered getting an AC6 with the 32.5" scale length.
What are the specs? Is it pretty standard (nothing wrong with that!) or do you have some more custom options on it?
Standard and kevk are rarely mentioned in the same sentenceCongratulations! The AC6 is one of my favourite basses of all time. I've seriously considered getting an AC6 with the 32.5" scale length.

Pretty confident it won’t look ‘off the shelf’…of course, I’ll share pics after it arrives.Standard and kevk are rarely mentioned in the same sentence![]()

Well, you did it again. You're killing me bro!About 24 hrs later, my paint is dry...
I don't know what to say. The F Bass gang just turns out special instruments. This one is no exception. Top to bottom, an excellent specimen of a fretless bass. F Bass ergonomics, wonderful playability, and so much to discover blending the bridge and the piezo pickups and their respective tones. I spent about an hour playing and I need to put it down to cater to life in general. Funny how that works. I first wanted one of these yeas ago. Things do happen for a reason and maybe this one was waiting for this point in my life, but I sure wish I hadn't waited to order one. If you want one, I'd say find a way. I am willing to bet @kevk will be along shortly to tell you the same thing.
Since I know no photos... no bass.. and it what everyone wants anyway, here you go.
Rock on!

A pause until you can figure out what other amazing options to spec?Yeah, but I think after this one, there is a pause in order. I ordered this back about 08-22 and it was just finished. I think it is worth the wait and the basses that I traded for it.

You don’t see many Classics…it’s absolutely gorgeous! Great specs, too!!About 24 hrs later, my paint is dry...
