Oh! Beautiful! What woods were used?About 24 hrs later, my paint is dry...
I don't know what to say. The F Bass gang just turns out special instruments. This one is no exception. Top to bottom, an excellent specimen of a fretless bass. F Bass ergonomics, wonderful playability, and so much to discover blending the bridge and the piezo pickups and their respective tones. I spent about an hour playing and I need to put it down to cater to life in general. Funny how that works. I first wanted one of these yeas ago. Things do happen for a reason and maybe this one was waiting for this point in my life, but I sure wish I hadn't waited to order one. If you want one, I'd say find a way. I am willing to bet @kevk will be along shortly to tell you the same thing.
Since I know no photos... no bass.. and it what everyone wants anyway, here you go.
Rock on!

I had a 4003s. For me, playing it was like eating with braces on your teeth.
Jeez… it has the piezos too, right? That’s another thing I’d be worried about when adjusting…Thought some of you might want to take a closer look at the new Ebony adjustable bridge option for AC basses. Interesting design—not as flexible (or easy to adjust) as hoped, but still better than original, particularly regarding string height adjustments. Really no way to adjust string spacing, aside from biasing/tilting the saddle slightly to one side (using the three top screws…)
Any adjustments begin with removing the string from the saddle, and loosening the locking screw that’s on a 45 degree angle. Screw goes only into wood, so need to be extremely careful how much you ‘tighten’…
Intonation is restricted to saddle movement within the recessed troughs, but as you can see…they’re not in a straight line, perpendicular to the strings. You need to physically move the saddle where you want it, then re-lock…THEN re-tune the string and check.
In the end…hopefully more set it and forget it—then rely on small trussrod adjustments as needed. My fb hasn’t settle down completely as yet…still been needing to loosen a touch, periodically.
This bridge is rather unique/tedious (imo)…but I do like having the option to adjust string height (vs original bridge…) Thoughts???
