Found one! Olive top BN5. A friend of mine took it. It has ash body, Alder core and it's a neck through! Oh my!!

Thinking about trading my 70's VF5 for a BN4 or BN5. If you're interested, lemme know!

ash/maple
satin finish subburst with enhanced grain and 'exposed grain' feel
F bass single coils
Mint condition
F bass/Levy's bag
comes with pickup cover

the 70's jazz to destroy all 70's jazz style basses. Its a slap monster...

I was wondering how long it would take before someone posted an Fbass! :)

That NAMM VF5 in black with the music-man style bridge pickup looks pretty interesting. An F bass playability with a more aggressive sound. I like the idea. Anyone get to play the bass?

I got to play it. I absolutely fell in love with it.
Thinking on ordering a VF in the future with that config now.

image.jpeg image.jpeg Hi,
This has been my bass for 10 almost 10 years now, gorgeous BNF5
Never needed a set up other than changing strings, but the G string is making some noises now.
I've noticed holes "post-nut". See the picture. The nut itself has the holes at the fingerboard height...
This bass sings perfectly but since I've never adjusted the neck tension since I got it, I was wonder if it needs a professional repair, nut, fingerboard leveled...
Any thoughts?
Also... The wrench for the neck relieve ... Is it special? It's almost impossible to access.
Thanks!!!

The buzz is on the G string from 11 to 13 frets.
Strings F Bass exposed core by the way

It could be a dud set of strings. Or your neck might need a bit of relief.
It's not a hard thing to do, but if you're uncomfortable in anyway, bring it in to a professional.

Another option is email the guys at Fbass. They're super nice and could offer suggestions.

Thanks for the warm welcome Tom! I see you've got a deadly 'F' collection at the moment, pretty impressive!
I forgot to mention that I had Mitch Starkman's Custom 34" Scale AC5 of which he and George hand picked the woods. That is an absolutely bass, hopefully someone from the club picked that up because they'll be in for a real treat.
Glad to be apart of the Club!
Very cool. I've updated the roster for you.

While im waiting to my VF to knock on my door, i was wondering if some of you Fbass lovers as an AC4??!!

This is my beloved AC-4. Custom Built, One Piece Spalted Maple Body, maple body and extra PU at the neck. Endless Mwaaah! Any idea if this qualifies for being added to the memberlist ;-)
