Picked up my custom ordered VF5-JM 2 weeks ago. It's amazing. I think this is the second bass they've made with the JM configuration. I was able to switch my order when I saw it debut at NAMM this year.

Hi guys it is my 1st Fbass, BN 5 still with the Seymour Duncan PUps and old pre. My only ash maple bass I have & I love. Superb tone and craftmanship. Now I need the VF5 and probably the BN 6. Count me in

New to me VF5 70's. I really like this bass. Its a bit on the heavy side at 10.5 lbs, but I really think that contributes to such a solid low end and a GREAT sounding B! Just need a brown shell pickguard now...

Congrats on the new bass. It was tempting when I saw it up for sale. My Fs are the best basses I've ever heard and company support from Marcel and George has been second to none.

I had thoughts about having F-Bass swap out the Badass V bridge for a bent plate which would probably shave off a bit over a pound from the weight, but I agree... It has a huge solid and growly low end and I think the Ash/Maple basses tend to sound better when they are a bit heavier. Anyway, the bass kills. The VF5 neck feels just great!
