It's hard for me to see which set that is on my phone, but I had a set of green hornet La Bella's on a green bass. They were really sweet sounding. Kind of the reason I started using La Bella's tape wounds in the first place. So, do you like them better than the stock strings? What was on your bass prior to the tapes?So it seems the majority of my posts in this thread of string related... Yes maybe I have a problem

They're "La Bella Limited Edition 'Tigers Blood' Copper White Nylon Tapewounds" from BSO.
So far I quite like them. Different from flats - much brighter but without the finger noise of rounds. They have a bit of a plasticky clank fret sound that doesn't get picked up when amplified, and the end result is a pretty nice tone indeed. Can even seem to get some "mwah" off the frets (at around 8:08 on the video below) on the D and G strings.
My primary criteria for strings is feel, as I'm not gigging currently. My finger chemical makeup kills most strings fast (especially uncoated), and seems to get real tacky with most flats. So far these don't suffer from either problem. They're quite slick, which is nice!

Well friends the final act of the trilogy is complete!

It certainly is. I own a BN6 already. I'm waiting for my 2nd FBass, a VF6-PJ Fretless in the Lake Placid Blue finish.

At the risk of sounding uninformed I have to honestly say I don't know for sure. I believe it's swamp ash but I'll be sure to ask Marcel the next time we talk.
Vf6-pj fretless may just be the first of its kind to come out of Fbass. I can't wait to see it!
Just gorgeous!! I too would have been in the drop everything and roll down to Hamilton. I know, sometimes life doesn't allow for all that. You have 3 beautiful basses! Grats!!

It was 14 years ago I ordered this BN5. I remember how the wait sucked and how I was floored when I pulled it out of the bag. It's still my number 1 and I'm still amazed at its awesomeness.
