Hi,
New to Talkbass. I live in Portland, and met Wade face to face after contacting him on his web site. I then ordered a Tectonic Shift and a Magma pre.
I ordered right before the Talkbass group did the group buy, and in fact paid a little more. It took a looonnng time, and by the end constant emails and phone calls to get my items from him. At first the Magma I got did not work properly. But I took it back, and bugged him until it was fixed. There appeared to be no way to get my money back. So I proceeded to cajole, threaten with a small claims suit, and generally be a pain in the ass. it took awhile, but finally I did get what I paid for.
I learned some real lessons on how PayPal is a crock. Basically they charge a service fee and do not stand behind their refund policy. My credit card also would not help, since I paid for a "service" (IE PayPal) and not "goods", and both also have a ridiculously short time period where they even allow claims.
In the end. The Magma is awesome. The Tectonic Shift is awesome. I feel very lucky I got them. That being said I am going to sell both.
I make my own amps on the side, so I know the trials of trying to produce a product in a timely manner. My amp company doesn't have a website, because we KNOW we could not supply the demand that internet advertising would bring. it is sad that the combination of supplier issues, lack of production, and personal problems created this mess for you all, and for Wade.
