Sometimes when people that were on the fence hear the longer wait times they realize something. All they need to do is afford the deposit for now and have all that much more time to save for the final cost. It'd be a tough idea but YJ could increase the deposit but more stress to knock out the builds would come with that.

@Bassic Needs I ordered early May 20 and still waiting as well. Andi told me 3-4 months in an email in April. I know YJ works in color batches so it could possibly depend on our color choices of what comes out sooner.

I fully agree with this. I want another P IV classic as well as a J IV that I'v spoken with Andi about. I figure if I order them at the same time that by the time they come they'll be pretty much paid for if I squirrel away about $100 a month.

I do believe Andi said that they're only taking 1 order per customer for the time being unless previously arranged. I could be wrong but I recall reading that in a post from him. That's basically what I did was have an extra $100 a month or so for when it's ready.

I ordered a J-IV Classic in OTM with matching headstock last year. Guess we'll find out.

Yet another on the J-IV Classic OTM list ordered last year.
In some photos the color changes, it will be the lighting, I would like it to arrive with a color tone more greenish than bluish.

I ordered a P IV in shoreline gold. I saw a pic of a J IV with tort p/g and liked that combo. I have around a 30-36 mo wait period. If YJ happens to have a body painted now it would have a nice aged look by the time I get it. Every situation has positives. In the meantime I am having a 53 P with teleneck made by Kallas. 6 month wait to tide me over in the meantime. Still searching for a used J IV so next stop is ordering a J IV in 6 months.

I can confirm this, there is a 1-per-person limit. I attempted to order a P Classic IV and a J Classic IV together a few months ago and had to limit it to just the P.

I highly doubt they have painted bodies laying around for use in 3 years.

Going to pick up a NordyMute. By my measurement it looks like 19mm is the one to go for in terms of string spacing. Anyone else here using one and can confirm?!

I use the 20mm on the 4 string and 19 on the 5.

I personally find the NordyMute, while nicely made and convenient to use, is too dense and over-mutes.

Unfortunately, I agree with this sentiment. If you are looking for a quick staccato, tic-tac response, the NordyMute does a great job. For classic quelling of overtones and subtle deadening, foam underneath or rubber on a bridge cover over the saddles is a more suitable approach. I made a Nordy style mute myself, with much wider gaps for each string and it falls somewhere between the two methods with respect to dampening.
