Club Moollon

I'm beyond excited to report that earlier in the week I spec'd out my order with Andi and just sent payment this morning. I had switched banks recently and Paypal was taking an obnoxiously long time for my transfer to go through. I was going through earlier conversations to get YJ's paypal info and realized I had first contacted them September of 2015! I shouldn't have it for a couple months but I'll be sure to do a full gig review and post some sound clips for those of you that are interested but can't get your hands on one.

Just did a quick noodling track for a customer who purchased this P, never track with a Moollon P bass but this is what I got, decent sounding P, pretty focus because of the ebony board.

I believe this track can let all people get a basic idea on how a Moollon P with new flats perform in a recording. :) Bass goes straight to Universal Audio Apollo Twin - Logic Platform. Zero EQ and Compression, tone half way,

What do you say we all play a game, hahah? I'm in the midst of waiting for my P-Classic IV and I'm curious, where did you guys hear about Moollon first?

For me it was Tim Lefebvre. I'm psyched to see Michael League occasionally playing one, and Kevin Scott has been killing it lately backing up Jimmy Herring and recently Wayne Krantz.

My main player right now is a CS Jazz with Fralin singles and 2 1/2 year old DR Flats. I had a preproduction rehearsal for a session in a couple weeks and the artist wanted me to try playing some slap on one of the tunes... Doesn't work too well with flats, hahah. When I get the Moollon, my plan is to "transplant" my flats to it and go back to playing rounds on my jazz bass for such requests.
