Yup - for now. I do have 1 person interested and if he wants it, I will let it go most likely. I updated my profile photo too - has all my bass family in the pic. The only one missing is the one I keep in my office at work - an inexpensive Fender MIM Jazz ($300).

I took a photo of myself the other day in my office - practicing during lunch - looks so stupid.

I'm surprised nobody's snapped up that battleship bass: #5077 | 24-Fret 5-String Pewter Metallic. I'm tempted to grab it myself but I've already got a 24-fret 5-string (black, with ebony FB and black hardware) that I love. I guess I like basses to look like beautiful machines rather than furniture.

Yeah, like that rocket bass that the guy in D.A.D. plays. Just kidding.

These days, I true all of the fingerboards and final inspect and adjust every instrument that leaves the shop. I also do any necks that require custom shaping. Lisa, Robert and Mark do all the bass building. Rob does all the guitars and Jeff does all the electric nylon guitars. Julian does all of the archtops. Dave does all of the fretwork, finish sanding and sprays the necks.

I guess with the popularity of your instruments you have to take more of a management role. But it is nice to know that every instrument gets your blessing! Your crew are so lucky to have such great craftsmanship knowledge passed on to them!

I played my NYC 24F-5 this past Saturday for a wedding reception. The room was pretty strange, and I needed something really aggressive like this to work best. Let me tell you, it was AWESOME!!

The rig was my new one with a Markbass F1 and a pair of the Berg AE210 cabs. We're talkin' serious growl and cut/punch here.
