This is NOT a working site...yet, but I thought that you guys could come up with good ideas to make this an interesting and useful website for all of us.

Sections that i already have in mind:
  • Players profiles
  • Featured Sadowsky
  • Tech Tips (bass setup, recording tips, etc.)
  • Audio/video
  • On the Net
  • ...
  • ...
  • ...

No need to say that everything has to be related to the S brand.

Ithought about making it a private site, but I'm not sure about it...opinions are welcome.

How about tonal comparisons of strings, pickups, body woods, necks, etc. with sound clips. Everyone could contribute?

Since this club was born here on TalkBass I hadn't thought about a forum, time will tell :)


I've included a login/pwd frame, and I like to hear everybody's opinion: private? public? a 'hybrid' with public and private areas? ...

Nice. The F Bass Forum on Yahoo is set-up private, so It keeps all the spam and haters away....My vote is private...

-But.....
The only thing is that to sign up, you had to email the Admin to get the "code", and be "added". This could be alot of work to take on depending on the outcome.

Public and Private for the reason that those who want to purchase a Sadowsky would want to hear those tonal comparisons to make a better decision on what to order. I wish the Sadowsky site had these comparisons. The neat thing about everyone being able to contribute is...everyone has a different amp. So we'd all get to hear the different amps as well.

Hey guys, just got my number(#131) Here's my bass:

I've been putting some serious miles on this thing in the last couple months, it seems to sound great for everything!

I also have an orphaned ultra jazz neck with the Brazilian rosewood board that I'm waiting for the right opportunity to swap in. It's working so well the way it is, I'm not in a big rush.

Just a heads up....All our necks are fit to there selected bodies...so that neck may not fit {to wide, or to narrow} the neck pocket. Also the angle could be off.

Wow, thanks, that's pretty important info. Last thing I'd want to do would be to mess up this bass.

Like I said, I can't really imagine improving it right now.

So.....are you saying that my only option is having a Sadowsky body made for this? ;) Does Sadowsky guitars write "permission slips" to give to significant others?

I remember building that bass...I liked it so much I wanted to keep it for myself {that and every other bass I built}, but that wouldn't be fair to everyone else.

Sorry...Sadowsky doesn't sell just Bodies...so I don't know your options...but I do remember that Maple neck having some very nice figuring in it.

When you solo the Big Singles or any Single coil pickups you will receive a certain amount of hum....Just the nature of the beast.
