Man, I wish I could help you but I've never owned an HT112, so I really can't say. I'm pretty sure Tom has this combo tho.

I do, though I have not tried it yet. Compared to the AE112/AE210 combo which I have tried, I would expect the HT112/AE210 combo to be a little less deep and big down low, and a little more focused and punchy in the low mids.

The Big Singles (BS) are available in 2 formats: Bartolini and EMG.

This means different casing and screw pattern.

IF you are referring to it being closer to the pickup than the E, that is normal for a Taper B to be intonated correctly
