The new shop is in Long Island City. 10 minutes from Rockefeller Center in Manhattan. The F train goes right to the shop. And you will still need to park in a lot. There is not much street parking anywhere in NYC. You can walk across the 59th street bridge, "feeling groovy".

I hear that the on-street parking is really ex$pensive. In fact that would be the initial payment on a new Sadowsky build.

Gosh, you could buy a lifetime supply of Sadowsky strings for the $790...or even five Portabags!

Gosh, you could buy a lifetime supply of Sadowsky strings for the $790...or even five Portabags!

Or a return trip from Toronto To Long Island City! (I'm STILL gonna walk the Brooklyn Bridge, even if I have to walk back to the heights from LIC)

I think he is talking HCs that look like jazz PUs. They are actually two coils end-to-end. One three strings long, one two for the five string version. They aren't an ultrathin humbucker like you would think.

That said, I do believe the short coil goes B-E.

This first time I saw a pickup like that was when I put Nordstrands in a Fender. I was like "how the heck does that work?"

I thought they would be tiny little humbuckers like those SD PUs made for Strats.

As a proud and delighted owner of a brand new Metro MV4 (vintage tint), I'm very happy to begin participating in this forum.

I am, of course, a big fan of what Roger's doing. Last year, I upgraded my AmDlx Fender PJ with Sadowsky pickups and pre - really made it come alive. Then, I went to Jay Street and tried out a Will Lee 4 (5575, I think), which absolutely blew me away. That day I had the opportunity to meet Roger, who was very nice and answered all of my questions - even though I wasn't buying anything beside some strings and guitar polish...

Anyway, I've enjoyed reading around on this list (I think I've read through all 20 parts) and others, but I didn't think that enthusiasm alone qualified me to join in. So, without further ado, I'd like to present M4801!
