Club Sadowsky!!!

I was thinking about putting on a tort PG on my Metro.

What do you think? Should I go for it or leave the black PG? I know the "norm" for Ash and Maple is the Black PG.

I think they both look great on natural, so you can't go wrong. If you're feelin' it, do it. :)

Dan:
I've only had it a few months, but it's a big win, for me! My hands don't sweat a lot and aren't all greasy or nuttin' (chicken wings aside!) so I don't even necessarily wipe it down after every use. Even my several year old RV5 hasn't changed much, if at all.

Classic:
Clearly, I vote black;)

Chef - thanks... I didn't know about the nitro finish... I love the bright maple color of the wood now but I'm glad to know that it will darken over time. Yours looks great. How long have you had that one?

I thought i should share this!
I got some live recordings with my sadowsky MS5 today.
And i was really impressed (Again) with the sound... I went straight from "Jaco sound" to a pretty smooth sound on some songs... heres a sample

and that is just straight sadowsky to DI box sound!

Thanks for posting. Excellent audio. I also really enjoyed the "Sadowsky Mix" & "Solo Bass piece" (click on "Typhus" @ top). That's a nice site you have set up there.

LeonD - that WL bass is drop-dead gorgeous! Great photo. How do you like the midrange control?

Thanks d.

I feel the midrange is invaluable. Initially I was going to go with a JJ bass with possibly 24 frets. I had the opportunity to compare the JJ to the Will Lee before I ordered. Once I tried the WL it was an easy choice.

I've used the bass on two gigs since I got it. And both gigs I've used the mid boost about 30% of the time. I've got it set for the higher frequency and a slight boost. I use it whenever I want the bass to stand out front in the mix (solos, intros and breaks mostly). It works perfectly for that.
