BTW, the interview I did with him for the current issue was SO MUCH FUN, and I'm priv'd to have his cell number and an invitation to call any time... especially if I'm planning to make one of their shows. How cool would that be... hangin' with Rocco before/after a TOP show, getting a backstage pass, meeting and hangin' with the rest of the guys, etc. I WILL make that happen.

Nope.....just a little FYI..
Just talked to Kevin over at the shop....smaller coils under the D & G strings. (I thought they went under the B&E as well)
P/ups positioned so the Sadowsky logo can be read as if the bass was sitting upright in a guitar stand.

WOW. Vic, I am so Jealous. JK. You are the perfect person to go to NAMM and inteview famous Bass Players. I bet you had fun.
Thanks! Just in case I confused things with my post, I actually interviewed him a while back over the phone. I just finally met him in person and got the picture taken this past NAMM.
Personally, I like natural and black.

I had a late 70's Fender jazz in natural and a Sadowsky vintage 5 in natural. Both had white pearloid guards and looks amazing

Thanks for the props on my WL but the credit really goes to Roger and crew. They nailed this one for me.
So far I've played two gigs with it. One a duo with singer/guitarist and the other a five piece with keys, horns, etc. and the WL just does it all. It's the only bass I need.
It's funny, when I started playing, I used one bass for ten years. Then I got hooked into TalkBass. I've gone thru about twenty basses in the last few years. Kind of figuring out what I like/want. This WL is it. I've sold/selling all my other basses. All I have now is the WL, a backup (the one I had for the first ten years above) and a fretless.
And I've never been happier.
Ivan M, when I first ordered this bass, it was with a tort guard. Then part way thru, I wanted two, tort and black. A couple of weeks before delivery, it turned into just black. (Although I think tort would look fine also.)
